We are having some issues with sleeping...

Will was awake 4+ times last night. He wakes up only for a few minutes (he eats a little bit) then goes right back to sleep. I have been told to "let him cry it out" and I did that until he was reaching into the 45 minutes to an hour mark. His OT (Ms. Robyn) gave us a CD to play in his room while he is falling asleep and sleeping and it worked wonderfully the first 5 or so nights but I believe that the effects have worn off. We will see Ms. Robyn again next week so I will ask her about it then but in the meantime....I NEED SOME SLEEP!!!! LOL!

I will be leaving town for the weekend (Josh is in charge of the kiddos!) I am going on a Moms only float trip with some of my girlfriends. I am sure that it is going to be pretty funny considering that most of us are not too sure of the canoeing thing! We are all just looking forward to a break and time to regroup and regain some sanity!

Have a great weekend!

Has it been a week???

Sorry about that! Anyway, we have had some issue with the g tube over the last week. I guess it was Sunday and it was bleeding around the button. Called the doctor and they said it was okay but we had to be seen on Tuesday in clinic at Cardinal Glennon. He has "granulation tissue" around the button. It looks like a skin bubble, kinda gross! Anyway, they say they are very common and gave us a cream to put on it. If the cream doesn't work then we will have to have it cotterized (I so did not spell that right, but you know what I mean right??). It is like having a wart removed, anyway, they say that it will hurt a bit so I opted to try the cream first. We have to go back in two weeks to learn how to change the button out (it has to be changed every 6 weeks). Not looking forward to that but the surgeon said if I could but the Ng tube in then I should have no trouble with the button. We will see...

Aunt Marty is coming up today and going to Splash City with us. Caroline is really excited about that!!

The Happenings Around Here

I hope that everyone doesn't think that I have forgotten about them! We are just really busy these days enjoying our summer. And Will is doing great! The rash on his face is looking alot better, we stopped with the green beans. We have concluded that the beans were the problem. After two days of the green beans the rash was worse so we decided to hold off on the green beans for awhile.

We have a new member in the Pillers' family. His name is Madison and he is a bit hairy! LOL we have a dog. The kids LOVE him. Caroline didn't want to go to sleep last night because she was worried about were Madison was going to sleep. Will thinks it is sooo fun to try to catch Madi. Madi has learned that if Will gets too close to walk away. All evening Will was crawling back and forth in the living room trying to catch the dog. Pretty funny, he would get soo close then Madi would walk away. Anyway, we welcome Madison into the family!!

The kids are also sporting new hair dos thanks to Aunt LeLe. I will post a picture of them today so everyone can see Caroline's big girl hair cut and Will looks like a little man with his.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Rash

Will woke up with an horrible rash on his face. I am not sure what may have caused it. I have some medicine that Dr. Rahman had given me before for skin irritations, I think that I am going to try to put that on it today and see if that helps. Oh, you know what, Josh fed him green beans for the first time last night, I wonder if that is the cause of it, hmmmm....

Home again

We made it home safely from Santa Claus, IN. The kids (and Josh and I) had a great time at Holiday World. Caroline went down a couple of the really big slides with Josh and she was smiling the whole time and immediately said "can we do it again?". Will did really well this weekend too. He didn't eat really well by mouth but with the button we didn't have to worry about it. We knew that he was getting what he needed with the tube. It was a stress free weekend!! Yippie!

Hope everyone else had a great weekend too!

Happy Birthday to Papa Jimmy!!

Our Holiday

Hi Everyone!

I hope that you all had a great 4th of July! We had a great time, I took the kids to the Steeleville picnic and Parade. Caroline had a blast riding the rides on Tuesday night with James and Mikkah. When you see her next ask her about the roller coaster!! Her and James' faces were priceless!! But she got to ride the ferris wheel with Uncle Ryan and James and I think that was her favorite part of the whole evening! On the 4th we went to the parade and she got an entire Walmart bag full of candy!! She was so excited about all of her candy when she got to NaNa's house she dumped it all out on the floor and went through it all. She had to see what all she got!

During the parade she would stand and wave to all of the floats, it was too cute!
After the parade we went to Aaron's sister Shelly's house (Aaron is my sister Leslie's boyfriend). They have a pool and we all got to swim. They had some really awesome food and everyone had a really great time.

Josh had to work on the 4th so he was not able to go with us but on Friday we are heading to Santa Claus, Indiana for a wedding on Sat. But on Friday we are going to spend the day at Holiday World. I think that Josh is looking forward to spending some time with Caroline riding on the rides and going on the waterslides. Caroline has been talking about going to Holiday World since we told her about it in April! So, I guess, she is looking forward to going too!

Will is doing really well these days. His tube feedings are going well and the sight is healing really nice. Surprisingly, nothing too exciting is going on regarding Will's health at the moment! (A huge sigh of relief) I think that the entire family is welcoming a break from the hospital for awhile!

I will not be on the computer again until Sunday or Monday. I will let you all know how Holiday World goes then! Have a great weekend everyone!
