Will's birthday is next month and I am feverishly planning his party. I love birthday parties!
We are having a "carnival" for Will's 2nd birthday, I have been working on it for months, seriously, I heard that gasp! I know, I need a hobby. Anyway, back to the point, Myssie! I thought that I might make homemade soft pretzels. I found a recipe here, but I would like to make the dough ahead of time and freeze it. That way I only have to make the petzels on the morning of the party. Can I do that? Or will it mess up the dry yeast stuff? I have no clue. Please leave me a comment and let me know the answer. Click on "comments" at the bottom of this post and type in your comment in the box and post it. Please! Thank you!

I'm pretty sure you can freeze the dough. But to be sure it comes out the way you want, you could test it in advance: make the dough, freeze it for a few days, then bake the pretzels. I usually test things in advance when I haven't made the recipe before and I'm making it for something special. I don't like surprises! :) Can't wait to see pics of the birthday bash!
We did a great birthday bash for AnnaKate's 2nd birthday. I know it will be so much fun!
Be careful freezing the dough, I think it may mess up the yeast and the rising. You can make the pretzels a day in advance. I love making homemade pretzels!
