My sleeping prince

I had to wake Will up from his afternoon nap the other day. I thought he looked so sweet sleeping that I took a few pictures.

His napping schedule is hit and miss here lately. Some days he will stay in his room for 2 hours without falling asleep. Other days he is asleep within minutes. When he wakes from his naps he is very crabby (worse than before his nap). It usually results in me sitting with him for about an hour cuddling him while he cries, drinks his milk and loves on Mr. Cow until he is completely awake. It is so frustrating that it takes him so long to wake up but I don't know what else to do.
Any suggestions?
ps. He sleeps 12 hours at night. ;-)

Don't have any suggestions on the sleeping thing, we are dealing with similar stuff in that category.

Just had to tell you those are adorable pictures of Will. I LOVE sleeping kiddos. So peaceful. :)

My Abby is the same. Super crabby when she wakes up from nap most times.

I either have to sit w/ her for 15/20 or minutes or just let her veg watching a TV show. Mainly, I just have to not talk to her for a while.

I am kind of the same way...I don't wake up happy either from a nap and need time to wake up. So, not sure there is a lot you can do other than what you are doing.

He is so handsome!
Hmmm? A suggestion? Is he cranky without a nap? Maybe no nap, if not, but naps are so important for mom.......

I was also wondering about no nap...Caden gave his up pretty early on as well but he sleeps 12-13 at night.

Sleep what is that?? WE are having real problems with Noah sleeping at night. I feel like I have an infant again. So I don't have any suggestions either. Sorry.. But Will looks adorable and very peaceful.

Cute pictures! I have no suggestions that I can think of, but Ava was the same way. She would be such a bear when she woke up from a nap and required a lot of TLC. BUT, she did grow out of it. Max is the opposite, he usually wakes up in a good mood. TAke care! Kelly F

Ah, 12 hours of sleep at night??? Girl, what do you need help with here? I am so envious of all that juicy night sleep I might have to nudge you when I see you in March...

Pics are so very sweet. His shirtlessness is making me shiver, though. Despite the seeming deep freeze being over, I still cannot get warm.

good luck

Noah was like that when he was 2. I think he just had a hard time transitioning to being awake. Now at 4, he'll wake up a tad grumbly and want a snack, but will engage in something fairly quickly. I feel your pain though! Seems like they should wake refreshed and happy!
