The happenings at Lilo and The Stitch

Well, lets see....what have we been up to.

Yesterday we went to see Will's GI doctor, Dr. Brady. She agreed to send a letter of appeal to our insurance company. We will see what happens.

Will has taken a liking to feeding himself. He started to refuse to eat anything that I would offer him because he wanted to hold the spoon. I finally just gave up and let him do it. I really had to just let go and let him get messy (I have issues with this). Here he is trying to eat applesauce. He definately has the right idea of using the spoon to scoop up the food but most of the time he just wanted to play with the applesauce and touch it. Which, I guess isn't such a bad thing, he is exploring his food.

Okay, so this next picture is kind of gross but I wanted to explain how Will eats. Here I offered Will some cheese crackers (which he LOVES by the way). This picture demonstrates what I mean when I say he puts it in his mouth, lets it get soggy, then lets it fall out of his mouth, not swallowing. He has a pile of cheese cracker remains. This is pretty typical of Will's feeding times, more on the tray than in his tummy. I don't think he swallowed any of the crackers, but he sure loved the flavor.

Caroline and Josh went to an air show on Saturday. I will let Josh post about that. But that is about it.

I'm sooo with you on the "messy" part. I cringe every time I let Andrew have ketchup. I have enough mess to clean up without the added grossness! Cheers to Will for trying things out! He'll get the hang of it eventually...words we all hear from time to time and yet still frustrating.

OMG that is so funny with the crackers. Noah is learning to scoop and lets just say after every meal he needs a bath. His favorite thing now is throw the spoon on the floor after every bite along with his sippy cup.. He's learning.. Good Job Will. Keep it up.
