Today Caroline talked from the time that she woke up until the time she went to bed (I have even heard her talking in her sleep). I am not kidding. My only saving grace was the three hours that she was at school.
At about 3pm, I had a headache, my brain was fried and my ears were bleeding (not really but you get the picture) I set the timer on the stove for five minutes and told her that she couldn't talk to until the buzzer went off. She couldn't do it.
The thing is...she doesn't talk about any thing important. Half the time, I have no idea what she is even talking about! She is just talking to talk. When she is talking too much I ask her to please stop Ya Yaing. To which she replies "I DO NOT ya ya MOM!!" Will it ever end?? Do all girls talk this much? Is it wrong that I sometimes just want her to stop talking!!??
Isn't it kind of ironic that I have one child that talks too much and the other child I desperately pray for him to talk?

I think it must just be the age because Walter talks that much too. Sometimes I just want some space in my own brain to think for half a second. But you're not alone and don't feel bad for wishing for a few moments of silence!
That is so funny! My niece is a littel chatterbox as well and Andrew is becoming that way. Sometimes he'll just start making up words! Does she have any friends/relatives she can call and use up her words with? LOL
I hear you! I wish Lukas would give Natalie half of his chatter...then we'd have two normally talking children!
It is totaly the age. Logan is doing the same thing right now. Last night my dad called and Logan was telling him literaly step by step how you bowl. "First you pick up the ball and put your fingers in the holes"... you get the picture. After a half an hour I had to forceably take the phone away from him. My poor dad.
I desperately pray for Noah to talk too. So we can desperately pray together. I hope one day Noah will talk my ear off until my brain is fried.. Ha Ha.. Caroline is too cute.. Lots of hugs to you all.
What a cute new name...Miss Ya-Ya!
Being a teacher, I see all kinds of talkers. The really talkative ones are always a real challenge...but not usually in a bad way. You just have to find the right way to channel their talking. :) Easier said than done...right?!?!?
